A little bit about me
Hi, I’m Kat, a clinically registered psychotherapist based in Melbourne. I offer long-term, relational psychotherapy for adults.
I take a person-centred approach, embracing curiosity about each client’s unique experience. My aim isn’t to judge or diagnose, but to empathise and understand. I support people in gaining a deeper understanding and acceptance of themselves, using a blend of compassionate listening, humour, and warmth.
My practice is informed by Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Gestalt, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I tailor my methods to each individual, incorporating attachment theory and polyvagal theory to explore how relational experiences affect both emotional and physiological states. I also offer Depth Enquiry, which is a somatic trauma processing therapy that uses EMDR principles within a Gestalt framework.

Listening is the foundation of my psychotherapy approach. Feeling seen, heard, and supported in our emotions can make all the difference.
A little more about me
I began my career working in a high school, supporting young people who struggled to attend school or class. My next role involved helping individuals in the community with their mental health recovery, whether after a crisis event or following a long period without support. After that, I provided free therapy in community health to people of all ages, identities, and cultures.
Now, in private practice, I help people feel seen, heard, and supported in all emotional states. I work with anxiety, depression, CPTSD, relationships, careers, grief, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. My clients include people who identify as LGBTQIA+, those in the polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous community, sex workers, neurodivergent individuals, migrants to Australia, and many others.
